Our Motto
Mrs. Donna Ramjohn-Khan, Principal
Mrs. Donna Ramjohn-Khan joined the Grant Memorial family as Principal in 2015 after serving as Principal at the Riversdale Presbyterian School from 2007 to 2015. A passionate educator with over thirty years experience, Mrs. Ramjohn-Khan strongly believes that all educators must become life long learners to effectively respond to the dynamic education environment and engage our diverse learners. Ms. Donna advocates that 'Educating the mind without educating the heart is no education at all' - Aristotle and that 'Children must be taught how to think, not what to think' - Margaret Mead. The Grant Memorial School continues to work together with all stakeholders to provide a safe and nurturing environment to inspire a love for learning and foster positive character qualities.
Grant Memorial Presbyterian School continues to excel in educating young minds since its inception in 1871. This statue pictured here was unveiled by the founder’s great grandson Mr. Allan Forbes in 1998 to commemorate the one hundred and twenty-seven (127) years of its endurance. Always adapting positively to the changing education landscape, Grant Memorial continues to be a beacon in the city of San Fernando and the Presbyterian Church of Trinidad and Tobago. Thus, as a result of its dedication to promote spiritual growth, all-rounded youngsters and top SEA students, the school culture embraces the living mindset of its motto, ‘Upwards Ever Upwards’.
Our vision is to empower each child in the community, regardless of gender, race, culture and background, so /he/she would be able to face the challenges of this ever-changing environment
conducive to learning.
Grant Memorial Presbyterian School has, as its fundamental aim the holistic development of every student by providing a dynamic, yet stable and harmonious working environment, through well-structured programmes, nurturing students to be well disciplined, highly tolerant and motivated citizens
who can successfully challenge the future.
'UPWARDS EVER UPWARDS'
Grant us great God, Thy spirit from on high,
Reveal unfold the mystery of our minds.
Accept our honest efforts as we try,
Nought but the highest of our lives to find.
Teach us to share our countless gifts untold,
Make all our lives to shine with radiant light.
Ever upwards, like Revered Grant of old,
Mould us in patterns, pleasing in Thy sight.
Open our hearts to lessons of Thy love,
Reveal to us the verities of yore,
Infuse our lives with blessings from above
Adapt us to Thy higher realms so pure,
Let all our lives in noble service shine.
Bless Grant Memorial
Alma Mater Mine.
Let us our lives in noble service shine,
Bless Grant Memorial
Bless Grant Memorial
Bless Grant Memorial
Alma Mater Mine.
